Anyway, that’s Dutch Flemish, mad-woman character Esther Verkest, with my earlier introduction being here.

I find her a crazy, counter-cultural figure that vastly needs more translations in to English, not unlike good ol’ Henk!

      It’s a classic theme I would think, for example via “A wolf in sheep’s clothing,” and probably via legends / archetypes that go wayyy back.

      Perhaps one takeaway might be-- much of our creativity and conceptual invention might be as old as the hills*, yet for the most part, the success in expressing such comes down to the skill of the narrator / artist.

      Oof, that’s probably the clumsiest thing I’ve ever written, but hopefully I’m making a shred of sense, there.

      * English expression, not sure how many other languages have that or similar
