I worry about many of Firefox’s decisions (they’ve been going off script worryingly frequently), but funding the org with this one concession seems acceptable to me
they’re also using Google location services instead of Mozilla ones by default (this only matters if you have disabled native os geolocation service)

Honestly, Mozilla needs new leadership. The non profit is fine but the company has so much potential and could be way more profitable and useful. Instead of making things people want to buy or use they keep choosing the wrong path.
What they should do is partner with Nextcloud to bring a google drive competitor to the market. This wouldn’t happen while they are receiving payouts by google
