    Surprised they managed to find any timber left in Tasmania that hasn’t already been pulped and sold for next to nothing.

    This is great news. Fire treated timber is a cheap and excellent building material. In the United States, they make mixed use five-floor buildings out of them with large apartments.

    Seems like a good potential option for increasing housing density, cheaply.

    Extra speed of build is a pretty good draw card even if it is 30% more expensive, and just diversifying the range of materials available for building high rises is always good for the industry. It’ll be interesting to see where it ends up!
