You mean they didn’t already do that? Fuck, I find it annoying enough to get the same notifications across my 3 phones, tablet and laptop.

Yeah…it’s quite annoying. Go to pick up my tablet off the dock, and literally every notification I’ve received since I last used it is there. Even if I’ve already acknowledged it on my phone.

The feature may check whether you’ve dismissed a notification on your Android phone and then do the same on your Android tablet, or vice versa.
They should have done that from day one though.

I talk a lot of shit, but the device I’m posting from has never been signed into Google.
My question was why do you think degoogling will help you with notification sync.
It probably won’t make much difference on that end, but at least I didn’t get the notification of your comment across all my devices, only the device I checked first.
…except it’s from Google so I’d assume it’s all going through their servers and it won’t work on third party OSes
hello google please let me sync my watch between android devices instead.
If it’s an Android Wear watch, they’ve recently added an option in the Watch app settings that makes it easier to transfer your watch to another device without having to go through the entire setup process. But it’s still locked to being paired to one phone at a time, as far as I can tell.
Thanks for the heads up, but looks like it’s only implemented on certain watches. 😞
