UK conquered effectively the entire world. They are literally the source for global capitalism as it exists. If your hangup is “well, UK didn’t really start capitalism” then your on a semantic that makes any further argument with you disingenuous, either due to you willfully manipulating the conversation or ignorantly being unable to comprehend what is being said.
