It is excellent but I have grown to build contempt for it as it appears at the top of my watch list in Apple TV every time I open it with a giant banner, even though I’ve already watched it, and is a perpetual reminder of the shit state of streaming services. /rant

I feel you. Amazon fire is alright but it just boggles my mind how much better it could be but they don’t care to or, you know, they likely intentionally want to have it a way because they think it somehow will make them more money.

I mean I don’t get it at all. Like they have this huge library of amazing content but they just want to shove the same shit in your face over and over again. How does that make them more money? It’s the same on every platform.

I mean im pretty sure there has to be some sorta of advertising reason and some small amount of money comes their way based on what they show you as in my experience they are not trying very hard to utilize all this information they collect on you to find things you would like.

Advertising…their own shows? That I’m already paying for? And have already watched? If they want to find things that I would like, wouldn’t it benefit them to show me different shows and movies, rather than the same ones over and over?

they are the provider but not necessarily the content creator. I mean maybe apple bankrolled ted laso I honestly don’t know. Also im not so sure the sytems are smart enough to not pay itself to advertise itself because from my experience I could completely see this happening.

So you think Apple gets paid money every time you watch it? I dunno that that makes sense from a financial side but it sure would explain why it’s shoved down our throats.

Im almost sure they do unless something has changed. Its like every time you listen to a song on a streaming service it adds to the amount the artist gets even if its the same song by them multiple times.
