I realize they also have a mark in their eye (so do I funny enough) but the pupil is also bigger than the right side, which depending on the situation can be a sign to take to the vet.

    Example

If the colored spot is like a bubble that moves around, it may be a uveal cyst. It does look to be the case as the bubble overlaps the pupil a bit in the image. There’s not much to do about them as surgery causes more harm than the blob itself. There are two types of cyst but I don’t remember the difference. The vet can and should check if there are orbs inside the eyeball as those cause bigger vision impairment, but I doubt it at that stage. Since there’s not much that can be done about the situation, there’s not really a rush to check, it’s not a death sentence, just a risk of having eyeballs.

Truly. My orange boy never ceases to amaze in how he simultaneously embodies the majesty of ancient pharaoh’s, and the goofiness of… well, an orange cat.

I don’t want to be an alarmist, but a spot like that was a sign of a serious fungal infection for one of mine. If you don’t know already what the spot is, ask your vet about cryptococcus infection. 💖
