I don’t know wether or not to shade the eyeballs to make them seem more round, or as I originally planned, have spirals in red on there…

When I’m not sure what to add, sometimes that means I’m done - at least for now.

To me, this drawing looks complete.

But what matters is whether it looks complete to you.

When I have that “what is next?”, feeling, I sometimes have to step away from the piece for a week and return with fresh eyes.

When I return to it, it’s about 50/50 whether I feel like the piece is just done, or whether I have a feeling that something is missing.

If I feel that something is missing, sometimes I know what it is right away, and sometimes I have to think about what is missing for about another week.

Either way, this is a great piece already!

I would love to see an update if you do decide to make one, too. I enjoy these glimpses into other artists process.

I’m not an artist, but the eyes could prolly use a bolder outline if you’re going for a more “comic” feel

The eyes and the stems holding them looks a little bit like hands holding spheres. I’d try to englobe the eyes a bit (you did ask after all 😉), like so they won’t fall off and can have eyelashes but that’s just me, your drawing is great!

Otherwise MajorHavoc is spot on IMO.

I feel like the eyeballs are a little too perfectly spherical, and doesn’t mesh as well with the lumpy-organic vibe of the rest of the design. And personally I would try adding a bit of shading to the eyes, as they also seem a little too pristine. Worst case scenario, you find that you don’t like the effect, and you know what not to do next time! :)
