There seems to be a wave of accounts from this instance spamming/brigading comments everywhere. I know one of them @[email protected] has been spamming already. But now there is another spamming pictures of checks notes nikocado avocado’s anus everywhere. [email protected] (check profile and comment history at your own risk). Somebody seems to be raiding this instance and many others through different accounts so i just wanted to warn you all.
I presume the intention is to get Blahaj.zone defederated, at least temporarily. I’m definitely monitoring the situation.
Also best not link to the account in your main post as it may get unintentionally clicked but, more importantly, the system thinks it’s a cross-post so doesn’t list it as a separate post.
Just saw it happen on an Ukraine war post. Multiple anuses posted by same person. Reported.
Yup unfortunately saw the same guy
Ive temporarily defederated programming.dev from blahaj until the spam wave is sorted and deleted all the comments so we shouldnt get any more of them
When the accounts are dealt with im refederating
Btw you’re being defederated from programming.dev
https://programming.dev/post/6749653Midwest.social is aware of the situation
https://midwest.social/post/6113317So is Lemmy.ca
https://lemmy.ca/post/10555622And lemmy.world
https://lemmy.world/post/9092277Kbin.social is still getting slammed
https://kbin.social/m/[email protected]/t/676035/Spam-accounts-are-registering-on-blahajsh.itjust.works will not cave to trolls 👏
https://sh.itjust.works/post/10343765Makes sense
The spam bot accounts are posting some terrible stuff, everywhere, incredibly fast
I’d hate to be a mod today with all the crap that they’re posting
Surprises me that Lemmy doesn’t have such moderation tools yet, considering how much longer it exist compared to kbin.
Just a simple throttle on the number of posts an account can make (especially a new one) would help.
that exists, just has a relatively high default
Well that’s odd - if you are posting faster than once per minute (for example) then you are likely up to no good. Set much higher than that and it’s a pointless feature.
Admins can deal with it on their own instances very easily with 1 button that purges all content but for it to federate everywhere the source of the account or where the comments are posted needs to deal with it
e.g. I can purge all of the comments locally from programming.dev using one button which will get the ones posted on programming.dev for other instances and posted on other instances for only p.d users and then ban them so they dont post anymore. But for all instances to have that done blahaj needs to do it. Anything other than that would mean moderation overreach with other instances where someone on a 1 person instance can ban people that shouldnt be banned and it federates
I’m an Admin at Feddit.uk and will temporarily defederate if this goes on.
@[email protected] @[email protected] @[email protected], not sure if you’ve already reached out to them, or what protocol is for these things
Hey im one of the programming.dev admins, when the accounts are dealt with on the blahaj side ill be refederating but this just prevents the users on p.d from seeing new spam accounts that may pop up for now since you guys dont have application requests to filter
Edit: refederated
Do what you need to do, man 👍
Yea something about Soyjak.net or something, there’s a few accounts I’ve seen with complete gibberish, then one with NikoAvocado’s spread asshole and a decapitated black child… Saw it on a Lemmy.world post too
ok but how did u identify who’s butt hole that was
I’ve heard rumors of an asshole so destroyed that it looked like the Large Hadron Collider

Hopefully we can get this sorted quickly, there’s so many popping up and spamming all kinds of terrible stuff and word salad
Most appear to be linking some sort of soy jack party?
Removed by mod
who even is /qa/
it might be less relevant than you think it is. Just stop it with the childish behavior
Removed by mod
And what is a soyjack party? Most importantly, why should i care?
Removed by mod
But why SHOULD I, mr soyjack?

I saw my first spammer today send some nasty gore stuff in the comments
