Either they are just getting worse (seems logic), or maybe they are trying for some advancement, like any advancement because the “generals” desperately needs one. Maybe both.
They’re running low on frontline skills in every way but gaining commander skill. All the guys they spent 8 years to train since Crimea until 2022 are just gone but instead they have tons of commanders/officers with real life experience.
The problem the Ruscists have with tank drivers is that they vanish without a trace with every turret toss of their Soviet-type tank. And they have taken down most of the Soviet training facilities and capabilities. That’s why Ruscist tank drivers often lack proper training.

The Avdiivka offensive is a major one, Russia is now also starting up attacks on the whole east line.
