    I got really frustrated at reddit for constantly questioning why she won’t retire, when the reality is we should be questioning why we keep voting her into office.

    The sentiment is spreading to here.

      I have a guess! Uninformed democrats voting party line, name familiarity enforces it, possibly some even remember when she was “good”, and incumbents usually have easier time at winning the votes.

      I am sure there are probably many Republicans who vote for her to keep her seat occupied and useless. It’s not uncommon in California for some ballots to have positions with only Democrats running so it’s also a pick your poison for the right, and candidates in california can be pretty progressive.
