I’m not saying The Rock was scared of Cody… but if you watch that whole segment back, he watches Cody leave, turns his back on Roman, and waits for Cody to get up the ramp before turning around to do the Roman staredown… motherfucker thought Cody was going to deck his ass.
Also… WWE has uploaded a new clip of that night cutting out Cody being upset and leaving the ring.
*motions to everything around us*
…and it’s only the 5th of February.
…fuck…
Even TMZ is reporting on this shit lmao https://www.tmz.com/2024/02/03/dwayne-the-rock-johnson-wwe-roman-reigns-cody-rhodes-alter-storyline/
@GeekFTW Rock bad, Cody good
I can understand their decision, but it’s not what I wanted and if they can switch gears (clumsily or not) I would prefer it.
It’s a classic WWE move. Push aside the fans’ choice that they spent so much screen time getting over in favor of the big name part timer to chase mainstream headlines.
Finally finished the latest edition of Pro Wrestling Illustrated this morning. There were so many things that had me going, “wait, that happened in 2023?” What a long year that was.
It also reminded me I need to check out Stephanie Vacquer.
Only seen Vacquer once or twice but now that AEW has the CMLL partnership I wouldn’t mind if they brought her in for some occasional matches.
The last couple weeks have been a real long fucking year so have a gift:
ROH Honor Invades Boston - Mark Briscoe vs Jay Briscoe
NXT Takeover Wargame II - Aleister Black vs Johnny Gargano
