Can we appreciate that TNG came out when Windows 1 was the operating system?
No one was running windows 1. Most people didn’t run a desktop environment you just loaded programs from DOS and skipped desktop environments. That changed when Win3.1 was released. That version was good enough to use as a desktop and actually had compatible programs. That screen is the windows 3.1 screensaver options screen.
