I hypothesised that libs would move onto this vague sort of “Sure, they might have a better standard of living than us, but we have FREEDOM™!” way to resolve their cognitive dissonance about China as China develops more and more and leaves the west behind. It’s nice to finally see it in action.
Here in glorious USA (greatest country in world) you have freedom to wait for bus for 2 hours for 3 hour ride to town center and 2 hour ride to other suburb. But you also have freedom to pay 170% of yearly salary on rapidly depreciating asset so you can chew necktie and fingernails in traffic and risk life and limb to do an activity that removed removed!!
Like the one they should go back to foot binding, warlords and yearly famines like when it was still ROC. Or like the one where they should do 90’s Russia economic model.

You have the freedom to die from preventable diseases because you can’t afford the cure.
You have the freedom to spend a third of your time traveling to and from work in awful traffic jams.
You have the freedom to be shot by cops, who will be rewarded with a vacation for doing so.
You have the freedom to go into so much debt that your grandkids will be the ones finally paying it off.
Ebil China lacks all of these wonderful freedoms!
