Popcorn shrimp I ordered at an international American restaurant, circa 2020 picture quality
It was an absolute textural nightmare, to be honest with you. In terms of taste, the flavors didn’t combine, so you just had shrimp and popcorn in your mouth.
They did and also served it as a proper dish in a restaurant, this is what i don’t get my head around. Like, did everyone involved think this is ok or did everyone watch full of schadenfreude, as the rookie started cooking?
I wonder if there was a language/cultural barrier there like “you want me to cook popcorn shrimp? You sure about that? Well, OK then boss”
