Yeah. It’s mostly stuff from age and a constant curiosity in life.

Forth is a weird language that is really old but works differently than any other common language now. Like even in HS I hope they are teaching you basics like Python. With Forth you have a dictionary made of words and words can be anything. You build programs by assigning stuff to words, like 2+2=4 can be math-sucks in the dictionary. It’s a useless example, but whatever. Words in Forth can be made of other words in combination too. You end up trying to figure out projects in steps where you’re trying to simplify your goals into a word or few instead of like typical programming where you’re building larger and more complex systems that are difficult to understand and manage.

Parsec 7 is just a name I made up for a science fiction story based on positive futurism. I occasionally post about related concepts I’m thinking about in the story on Lemmy not that that matters. The story is in the distant future when science is complete. I strive to make it extremely hard science fiction, meaning there is no magical technology, no faster than light travel, and no aliens, there are not many people that live on planets either. Everything in the story is within the technology limitations we currently have. The only difference is access to wealth and the results of ongoing scientific discovery. I primarily focus on telling the story of a colony around the star Alsafi. It is a G-type star like the sun and is one of several G-type stars with colonies within 7 parsecs of Sol and the cislunar (space between earth and moon) central home of humanity.

The entire story is based around a way to create mortal flesh and blood artificial intelligent human like entities. The reason for this is simple, most of the stories about AI are dystopian (negative/doomsday). In reality, those stories are not actually about AI, they are the equivalent of a Greek pantheon machine-god mythos. It is an all powerful god like destroyer of worlds. That is simply not realistic and has nothing to do with AI and the real dangers it can pose or the benefits. So I play with a story where humans and AI exist as mortal equals to play around with ethics and issues in a more grounded perspective.

So yeah, old man boring stuff.

Ah Ok, I understand it now haha, yeah they taught us python iirc end couple of years in middle school and the first couple years of high school, now i hv had the option so i opted out since i m not that interested in AI and computer stuff but rather mechanics and electromagnetism stuff like that

Thanks a lot for explaining to me tho, its not boring it seems kinda cool actually

What kind of mechanical stuff? My son is super into building and repairing guitar pedals and amplifiers. They’re kind of interesting if you lean musically.

Mechanics is a branch of physics, where u learn abt mechanism of different types of movements, like rotational mechanics, where u study abt a rotating body and its motion (stuff like angular velocity angular momentum etc) or like fluid mechanics, uniform circular motion etc, pretty basic haha ik, but i do enjoy learning and applying concepts, unfortunately there aren’t many practicals i can do but i do hope i get more opportunities after i graduate high school

Repairing guitar stuff seems fun! I hv always wanted to learn bass but like i said there are not many opportunities in high school where i live, i wish to graduate and move
