That’s around a full fifth of the population hot damn! I hope with the current surge in LatAm/China cooperation and the USA hurting itself in confusion the sanctions eventually become irrelevant.
Why one fifth? Why should only one person live in one house? Or do they mean “enough houses for 4,6million”
That’s 4600000 houses. Population of Venezuela is 30 million so if we count average family with 3-4 people that’s nearly half of the population housed in 12 years. That’s tremendous achievement.
Yes, that’s my question. The comment before me made it seem like only 1 person lives in one house.
Some of those are probably intended for 1 person, but it also clearly states the families are priority so a lot of those would be larger so assuming between 2-3 rooms and 3-4 people averagely per unit is reasonable.
I like this sort of news that just makes me go “good for them” but mean is sincerely.
