Such as, where is that spring line? Where is the rest of the tracking? Who installed that motor, and why? It looks like it was installed in the last handful of years. It’s also installed in a helluva way, but, given the headroom, I can excuse it, but, without tracking or a spring line, that motor isn’t doing shit… so why is it there? Wtf is going on here?! This is causing a crisis.
So, it turns out, (as someone pointed out) it’s a one piece garage door, I don’t see these where I live due to snow. So, it likely actually works, crisis kinda averted.
I’ve never seen a new one either, just old wooden one piece doors. The last one I used had cables and pulleys to a counterweight on the far side of the garage, no springs.
As a garage door tech, I have too many questions.

The springs are visible. Not sure about the tracks. Probably removed to save headroom.
Edit: Looks like this kit specifically https://images.thdstatic.com/productImages/e508c57f-cd3c-40c9-a1b0-9ac49283b69b/svn/e900-hardware-garage-door-parts-e900-r-4f_600.jpg
Oh good catch! I don’t see one piece garage doors like this where I live, due to snow, so I’ve never seen this in action!

Probably in case of inspection if they didn’t get permits to make the garage a bedroom
This comment was a rollercoaster! Thank god crisis is adverted!
