😆 No, I meant Windows. I gave it a brief shot after some trouble with Linux gaming, but the user experience was much worse.
I tried once the last decade and it was a pretty bad user experience.
Can’t blame em for trying to win the cat/mouse game of adblocking.
IDK; I blame them.
YouTube has become part of the world’s social infrastructure. In a way, it is the town square.
Frankly it should be publicly owned.
All that effort just to not install uBlock Origin.
We’ll have to see, but by my past experiences with Tankies and other authoritarians, I don’t expect reasonable behavior.
Since the developers are the problem, it’s probably not likely they’ll implement. But I’ll keep on eye on this and maybe contribute if there is a soft fork.
I have to hope that main instances will stop federating Lemmygrad at some point. There’s no place, IMO, for genocide denial/affirmation and authoritarian extremism on platforms like these. Or any platforms.
Edit: Seems this is unfortunately unlikely as the lemmy.ml instance appears to be moderated by a genocide denier and authoritarian.
The evidence I’ve seen is compiled mainly in these posts:

The most disturbing thing I’ve seen is the evidence that Lemmy.ml is controlled by a genocide-supporting red fascist/third positionists. If that’s true, its a massive issue and makes the platform hard to trust.
Very open to learning that this isn’t true, if it isn’t.
My feelings about beehaw as a community changed today, which is why I’m leaving.
But I will give some thought to it. Maybe if the admins don’t delete it I can leave it in place and the comments and posts can be of some use to someone.
