Toffler inspired science fiction writer John Brunner.
Brunner’s book ‘Stand On Zanzibar’ won the 1969 Best Science Fiction Novel. It’s set in the early 21st Century. He followed Toffler’s ideas and it’s scary how many things he got right.

“Future Shock” by Alvin Toffler. The author was a sociologist; his take was the the change from the old Industrial Age to the new Digital Era would be too overwhelming for many people to handle. They would try desperately to go back to a time they understood.

Everyone should study the machinations of Jerry Falwell. Back in the 1970s he came up with ‘The Moral Majority.’ He grabbed power in the GOP by simply having his minions show up at every single organizing event. If the twon of Dogville was going to pick a new county clerk, you could bet that the MMs were going to make sure that the clerk was their creature.
Look at what’s going on today. Trump’s people are putting themselves into positions to count the votes on election day.
The Boomers got the voting age lowered to 18 because they were marching every day.

Back in 2015 Trump pled ‘no contest’ and refunded the fees for his sham University. By doing so he admitted that the whole thing was a con from the start. When I pointed this out to a MAGoo online the response was that the students were the ones at fault because they hadn’t read the paperwork.
Obama was a national disgrace after he demeaned the office of the President. He’d put his feet on the Oval Office desk; he’d failed to properly salute his Marine guard; he wore a tan suit.

Talking about Trump is like talking about an anime that’s been running for fifty seasons; if yopu talk about the hero fighting a dragon you have to specify which one.

Anyone who has taken even the most superficial look at Trump’s record and isn’t voting for any opposition must be an idiot.
I have the advantage of living in New York, where we got to watch him embarrass himself for decades before taking the national stage.
He was fined for employing illegal immigrants from Poland when he was building Trump Tower.
He was fined for discriminatory actions in his Queens’ rentals.
He refused to pay off dozens of small companies in Atlantic City, driving many of them into bankruptcy.
Any one of those should be enough to disqualify him, but somehow it’s just not enough.
