Toffler inspired science fiction writer John Brunner.
Brunner’s book ‘Stand On Zanzibar’ won the 1969 Best Science Fiction Novel. It’s set in the early 21st Century. He followed Toffler’s ideas and it’s scary how many things he got right.

Trump gets caught in a lie.
This book was written back in 1970 and predicted a lot of this mess.
“Future Shock” by Alvin Toffler. The author was a sociologist; his take was the the change from the old Industrial Age to the new Digital Era would be too overwhelming for many people to handle. They would try desperately to go back to a time they understood.
Sound familiar?
The GOP decided that Monica’s blue dress and Stormy Daniels should be part of every school kid’s curriculum
I’m a life long New Yorker, and I’ve watched with horror as Donald went from being a local joke to a national menace.
Beyond any political ideology, you have to realize that Trump is a thug and a bully.
He’s hated in Atlantic City because he refused to pay so many small businesses. He’d come in like a white knight, sign a great contract, then let his lawyers screw over people who couldn’t afford to keep fighting a decades long trial.
Frederick Douglas on voting at a time when both Parties had shafted Reconstruction.
He’ll probably declare victory as soon as the polls open.
, calling them naive and dumb while calling there candidate unserious , cause that worked out so well with Trump supporters in 2016.
So, you’re saying you’re as stupid as Trump supporters?
That may sound harsh, but those are your own words.
The only thing I’d say differently is “just the primaries.”
The primaries are the most important, especially for local elections.
Everyone should study the machinations of Jerry Falwell. Back in the 1970s he came up with ‘The Moral Majority.’ He grabbed power in the GOP by simply having his minions show up at every single organizing event. If the twon of Dogville was going to pick a new county clerk, you could bet that the MMs were going to make sure that the clerk was their creature.
Look at what’s going on today. Trump’s people are putting themselves into positions to count the votes on election day.
The Boomers got the voting age lowered to 18 because they were marching every day.
People notice action and ignore inaction. Not doing anything has never been a winning strategy.
I like John Oliver’s take on Trump’s lawsuit history. Trump was in more court cases than all the lawyers on all the Law And Order shows, from all the franchises.

Many cities closed public swimming pools rather than have them integrated.
Back in 2015 Trump pled ‘no contest’ and refunded the fees for his sham University. By doing so he admitted that the whole thing was a con from the start. When I pointed this out to a MAGoo online the response was that the students were the ones at fault because they hadn’t read the paperwork.
Obama was a national disgrace after he demeaned the office of the President. He’d put his feet on the Oval Office desk; he’d failed to properly salute his Marine guard; he wore a tan suit.
Trump restored dignity to the office by simulating oral sex at a campaign rally.*
*edit = To those who are sending comments pointing out other transgressions, I know I probably missed the one that offended you the most.
Talking about Trump is like talking about an anime that’s been running for fifty seasons; if yopu talk about the hero fighting a dragon you have to specify which one.
On the other hand, there was Auntie Mame.
They were never about being Christian. They stood against Martin Luther King when he was alive and were all for bombing Vietnam back to the stone age. Sixty years later they are still the same.
You are not blocked, because you are beneath contempt.

There was a mic problem at another rally. I suspect that the union folks have been looking at Project 2025 and have figured out where they really stand.
Anyone who has taken even the most superficial look at Trump’s record and isn’t voting for any opposition must be an idiot.
I have the advantage of living in New York, where we got to watch him embarrass himself for decades before taking the national stage.
He was fined for employing illegal immigrants from Poland when he was building Trump Tower.
He was fined for discriminatory actions in his Queens’ rentals.
He refused to pay off dozens of small companies in Atlantic City, driving many of them into bankruptcy.
Any one of those should be enough to disqualify him, but somehow it’s just not enough.
