You’re thinking too much already. They might not even be reacting negatively to what you’re saying but you’re so insecure that you read into stuff that isn’t your fault. Or maybe you’re going too deep for work place conversations. Like talking about personal stuff that is not what most people wanna here. Honestly, based on what you posted, you are a weird guy that has weird thinking. It’s okay, no judgemental because I am too. But what I’ve found works with people is too just fit in with them. Don’t air your dirty laundry out too them and just talk about mainstream stuff. If it’s something you think might be what the average person isn’t into, just don’t talk about it.

Weed was easy. Don’t even think I was addicted. For me, I’ve been struggling for with sleeping pills lately. Might go back to the weed but just do oils before bed for sleep. I’m a shift worker in a high stress job so I need something at night to calm the nerves sometimes.

Had a guy that used to find me on reddit and respond to everything I said. It was innocent and funny because it was literally just him talking shit out the prequel star wars to me. Not really an argument I guess. He did it for like 3 years. Stopped doing it about 8 years ago. Wonder what happened to that guy.

Life is vastly different than in the 80s. You can literally know anything you want right now, simply by asking an artificially intelligent handheld computer that has access to every discovery known to man. We’re on the cusp of being able to cure almost any disease and live forever. We can blow the planet up 10x over and still have ammo left. Scientists can see so far away that they can almost see the beginning of time. Nothing your great grandfather saw in his life will compare to what you will see in yours, have already seen.

The expanse is top tier tv. Not sure how it wasn’t more popular. Community is gonna go down as one of the classics

I think life is about maximizing positive subjective experience. If it doesn’t make you happy or allow you to live happy in other moments, don’t do it. Work sucks, but it gives you money that allows you to buy things that make you happy.

Work in a jail as a co. It’s alright but pretty shitty at times. Pays decent and I can live a good life outside of work.

20 years? The way they talk it’s gonna happen in 20 weeks. Obviously, they exaggerate, but it does seem we are on the edge of something big.

I’m not religious anymore myself. Grew up Catholic. But my experience with it definitely seems to be different than a lot of other people. The priest we had was super progressive and inclusive. Didn’t spout any of the fire and brimstone crap either. Actually tried to live the life of Jesus and told us to love and accept everyone, including gays and people from other religions, etc. I do realize this isn’t the typical experience for most people though. I think father Matthew was genuinely a good guy and got into the faith because he actually wanted to help people.

I must be one of the lucky few who weren’t raised by hypocritical Christians. My parents actually tried to be generous and helpful.
