Having just 2 main candidates is like having 1 candidate because there are some things they both decide to do the same. More candidates are necessary for a democracy. Some countries also implement 2 step elections that take 2 or more most voted candidates to another election. Though it’s much more ExPeNsIvE to run such an election so the US won’t do it.

I think using the RCS can raise legal issues if Google/Apple collects the messages, especially if you’re in the EU. I don’t remember how RCS works and I heard it can be E2E encrypted but seeing the comments makes me less sure about the safety of using it in a business environment. SMS isn’t encrypted at all and easy to intercept but there’s less chance of it being automatically collected for marketing purposes.

Using apps is better tbh unless you make your own apps to create more bloat and fragmentation. Here where I live nobody uses SMS anymore.

Oh ok then. If it has a vanilla version then it is degoogled and can be more degoogled than LOS. What I meant was if GOS was microg only, it couldn’t be as degoogled as LOS because LOS is vanilla. Still it’s a shame that LOS can’t find a better supporter than Google.

Sorry for a probably stupid question but can’t you get something with a dedicated GPU for the same price? The CPU will be worse but the machine will be more balanced for all kinds of tasks. Not for programming though.

Mister/miss, LLMs that can run locally are fine. It’s the infrastructure and the large scale of commercial cloud LLMs that create some issues. You have to read some researches on this topic.
