Which FPS do you enjoy?

You have to be ok with believing that you’re not annoying others when talking about yourself and asking about them. And you have to do it in a not-creepy way. I haven’t quite figured it out yet.

I had never heard of Waterfox before seeing this post. I went and checked it out. Basically, their “thing” seems to be that they have Firefox’s privacy settings automatically defaulted to stronger settings, yet still mild enough for normal web browsing (it won’t break as many websites as when you have Firefox fired up on all privacy cylinders, I guess?).

They also have incognito tabs instead of just incognito windows.

Other than that, I don’t see any differences in the GUI for ease of use.

I would classify The Dollop along the lines of Behind the Bastards as well. Although it’s more comedy, it definitely gets political.

So, the thing about the federated system, is that the server loads are distributed among the different instances that are run by individuals. This way, no one instance gets too big to afford to sustain itself.

But yeah, basically donations are what any instance will likely be run off of. I’m sure there will be people trying to profit off of it somehow, by charging people for accounts, maybe, at some point. Or running ads, etc. But as it is right now, I believe the idea is to have this system be free and sustained through donations.

Yeah, I’m perfectly fine with this decision. And if I want to see content from and interact on those instances, I can (and have already) create accounts on those instances. No harm no foul.
