And they gameified it by making it if you got someone else to sign up you both got insane coupons to make stuff that they were selling as loss leaders even cheaper and get enough and you could get it for free.

It made it a race to get the most people to sign up for the app as the very rare person got a switch for free for being better than any advertisement.

They must have been bleeding money for the name recognition. I still think their name equals trash.

Yeah, everyone is “a business owner” by selling temu crap all over the place now.

Even farmers markets with wealthy looking white people selling garbage mugs and tchotchkes that are all clearly from China.

Someone else did all the work and they think they are special for pushing it on others. Heck so many ads these days are for sites selling the shovels in this gold rush for making your own drop shipping site on tiktok. What else is Shopify?

This is the way. Why pay double for eBay or Amazon to ship me stuff from AliExpress anyways for like 5 day faster shipping at best.

But only for the same garbage that they will sell anyways. Shoes are leather and can be fixed and have been at a cobbler for like $40 to new. Clothing should be bought once and last at least a year if not much much longer. So I buy from better brands in person if possible.

So, as someone that was homeless 3 times already and went from that to doing ok for myself enough to at least have some vacation and self autonomy.

Find something that only you, can do.

That was the advice that worked for me. Don’t try for the specific jobs that make money or even make you happy doing it but something that you knew if people thought about it, they think of your name to get it done.

It’s stressful and a shitty life sometimes but I know people rely on me. And it’s ok to take time to figure it out and make bold decisions to get there. Stuff you wouldn’t expect to do can be a great starting place.

I couldn’t afford my existence in America ( got bullied out of my STEM field because it made other stressed people feel better) so I looked for jobs that would pay for it for me. That’s how I discovered the circus and cruise lines. Food and lodging and people trying to get by. From there I found something they needed fixed and learned how to do it.

You need to be willing to change. And probably willing to go your own path in a way that will mean a life different than you ever knew. Nothing that worked for anyone else will absolutely work for you, we are all too individual and different.

But that’s why you can do something. Maybe you can work with leather and make aprons that no one else can. Maybe you can operate a remote station alone better than others cause you like the quiet. Maybe you can land planes in Boise Idaho cause you don’t mind living there and like planes. Maybe you can run a cult of personality where people think you are their mother God…

I dunno it’s worked for others but it’s up to find what you can do and how far from the norm you are willing to go.

You admit you have spare money to spend and use as donations to politics. Which is my point as most members of the Trans community does when they consider gender identity to be their biggest issue to deal with.

It’s not true for all trans people but the ones I hear from tend to have cash and I have known plenty of the LGBTQ community to be the most conservative because of their wealth. So are they willing to use themselves in their pursuit of moral victory?

It’s an identity. I literally said I don’t care and then you went and repeated your line about how you are more important. As if people are using you or spending you like currency for the election. It wasn’t about you.

Lots of people will die. Yeah start being part of the larger topic then and get your head out of your own fart box. Most of them won’t be upper class American trans people. And it certainly wasn’t about morals it’s about other people struggling that you demand agree with you in votes because you get better treatment under one party.

Maybe get with the people who care about not dying and show you do as well. As if saying, ask the DNC party to care about more than the trans community and specific shades of minority to get behind large populace movements for support is some kind of deep moral victory at your expense. Or you are the wealthy but new hotness in oppressed to the DNC to hook into to prove they care about something while it only amounts to culture identiry. But it allows them to take in heavy donations to further enrich themselves by pretending to fix things.

It’s clear that the trans community is still far to small a percentage of the populace to focus on as the main backing and asking other people to care about you and members of your community above their own well-being will not work because people are as selfish as everyone else.

I’m sorry but I really don’t care what happens within 2% of the population as long as they aren’t being killed compared to workers who make up the most of us.
