It’s far from an easy thing to do, as he was incredibly motivated and spent most of his time working on it, but if you really do want to, there are ways that a person can support themselves through their own direct actions.

Because society is so terrified of the technologies we have created that it has adopted the ideal that everything needs to be perfect right here and now, and so any deviation from acting out that Utopian fantasy is met harshly, even though it’s obviously not true to any rational person.

You have to be a little bit smarter than just taking isolated phrases on their own, if you want to actually explore the how and the why of the function of an entire society.

Perhaps, instead of trying to turn everything in life into a “gottcha” moment, an honest person could recognize that such a saying speaks to how violence should be a last resort, while still maintaining a sober recognition that we live in a world where there are many others who may not respect our opinions on the matter, and therefore we should remain prepared to confront the eventuality of conflicts arising with such people.

Many of us heard it back in 2016, but the media ran a smear campaign when we attempted to identify that we were life long liberals who could no longer support this sort of insanity, by tying the term “alt-right” to actual Nazis.

If you’re trying to redistribute society’s wealth, then you’re going to have to take from those who produce more than average, and give it to those who produce less than average.

Your point about being motivated by things other than money is something I’ll readily agree upon, but is also irrelevant to a discussion on the redistribution of wealth, where we’re specifically addressing those parts of society which generate wealth.
