I built a small bar in my basement and named it Sithrak’s. Obviously, I needed custom tap handles.
Hell yeah, that’s awesome! How’d you make them?
First, I took photos and scans of my Sithrak pin and Sithrak patch. Then, I traced both with Adobe Illustrator and combined them into a black and white SVG. I then added the circle rings and quotes (making sure to “Trace outlines” of each letter to preserve the font I totally have license to use in this manner). The manufacturers at DesignYourTap.com handled the laser engraving and provided the appropriate chalkboard stickers.
You know how you’re supposed to “break in” a new chalk board by rubbing the whole thing with a stick of chalk on its broadside? Don’t do that to these stickers, you’ll just fuck them up.
At least the emblems look laser engraved, not sure if they had blanks pre manufactured or if they lasercut those too
These are manufactured blanks with routed slots for whiteboard/chalkboard stickers that then get laserbeamed with your design of choice. Technically the process supports grayscale, but I didn’t want to risk it.
One of your beers should be called either Cumsprite (if you have a summer beer with a lemon zesty undertone) or maybe call it I’m Telling. Only the Oglaffer will get it.
Pineapple Sour, for sure.
The beers on tap are currently not mine. They are…
I’ll have a tall imperial stout please
