The Police realised something was amiss when they saw orange flashing lights on the BMW?

I’ve either seen two different cars around Portland, Oregon with Christmas lights covering them, or possibly the same car twice. And I’d never seen this in my life before this past week.

I just drove to Michigan and back, saw maybe 5 vehicles, including a semi covered in lights.

One just had a single dollar store strand around the hood, one had followed all the panel lines on the car, and the others were just wrapped a couple times over the top and underside.

None were flashing or twinkling, just steady lights.

As long as they don’t flash or move while driving, honestly I don’t think a couple strands would be that distracting except maybe a double-take

I can see how this many lights would be distracting for some. I would definitely look more than twice, if I had space around me.

Still though I think I’d just ask them to leave most of the lights off while actually on the move at most.

Them not flashing isn’t great either. It is distracting - remember that not everyone has your level of focus. Especially annoying for people with astigmathism - it blurrs the everliving shit out of everything.

Good point. I get annoyed with the little lines on my windshield caused by the wipers in rain that make lights stretch a bit (idk how to better explain that), I can’t imagine how terrible it must be for people with astigmatism

SO THAT IS WHY I HATE HAVING AN EVEN SLIGHTLY DIRTY WINDSHIELD!

I have known that I have astigmatism since childhood, but never really understood what it means until now.

I got my license in 2022, and have allways found oncoming cars to be very distracting when driving at night.
