    Layoffs appear strongly linked to divorce for men

    For women, layoffs are also related to divorce, but less strongly

    I think this tidbit of info presents a reminder that a man is only seen as valuable if he’s generating an income. Both to himself and others. I’m willing to bet that’s why there’s such a strong correlation between men losing a job and losing their spouse.
