How is the S22 holding up? I’ve got an S23 which I got about a year ago and I have had battery protection on since I got the phone so my battery life is still 100% and I honestly can’t see myself needing an upgrade for at least 3 more years.

  • I would argue it’s worse than reddit in terms of the average political leanings of users. I have seen overwhelmingly far far left users around here. The few reasonable moderates I’ve seen are getting downvoted for incredibly normal comments. Then I recently found the conservative sub and that place is just a mess. Even in their own space all the posts and comments are downvoted.

I am genuinely concerned for these people. Shutting everyone down and running away from people you disagree with doesn’t make them magically disappear. It’s just creates more division and less understanding at every turn.

It’s not even just a problem here though. Even in my own family the far left thinking and shutting out all who even slightly disagree leads to problems. I tried to warn them that Trump was probably going to win and they didn’t believe me. Being in California and surrounded by deeply blue/left people 24/7gives you a warped sense or reality. The bubble is so big around here that many people don’t even realize they are in a bubble.

I’ve never personally tried adding the ’ before you import but the one document that was causing problems with that for me recently was an auto generated document so I couldn’t have possibly added any spaces or characters before excel went and messed them up anyways.

  • I don’t feel superior to either side inherently. I’m just sitting here in the middle seeing how absolutely brain rotten both sides can be.

Neither side can apparently see how fucking insane they sound because they both think they are objectively correct about absolutely everything at all times.

I’m not sitting here going “you’re both wrong” I’m sitting here going “will both of you please shut up and listen to the other side once in a blue moon for the love of God”.

I’m not even an “enlightened centrist”. I actually lean left, but because I’m not “left enough” I get downvoted for daring to call some of these delusional fucks out on their bullshit.

Oh I know. You can do that or just add a single space as well. But you cannot do that before the document is created so if you import something into excel it’ll just fuck all your numbers to shit and then you have to spend hours or days unfucking the numbers since even if you tell excel to treat that column as text only it won’t put the numbers back correctly.

It’s actually impressive how dogshit Microsoft products have become over the years. They clearly knew this was a problem back in 2016 or wherlnever that beta version was floating around where you could just disable the automated date feature entirely beforehand, but I guess they decided they liked pissing off office workers more than giving people meaningful QOL updates over the years.

  • No… I’m a large adult man who is lucky to have a low tolerance. I can get stoned on a very small amount while the rest of y’all need to apparently bath in THC oil to feel anything anymore.

I spend 100 bucks on edibles every few months. My little brother spends like 500 a month on pot cause his tolerances are cooked.

The fact that you can’t stop excel from doing that until you are inside the document means that if you ever import anything into excel it WILL break your numbers into dates and you have to fix them manually. If you are typing a fresh doc you can obviously change the settings but I spent hours working with Microsoft support and they basically gave up saying that they used to have a beta version where you could disable it, but they never added the feature to live excel and they just gave up.

    10/10 Microsoft.
