Hello! Lemmy’s new version 0.19.0 just got released and I am planning to upgrade Sopuli tomorrow at 15:00 (Finnish time). The instance may be then offline for some time during the upgrade so be prepared.
I decided to tell about this beforehand because the update is HUGE and I wouldn’t be surprised if there were some problems involved in installation.
EDIT: The upgrade is complete and Sopuli is up!

Päätin kertoa tästä etukäteen, koska päivitys on ISO, enkä yllättyisi jos sen asentamisessa olisi jotain ongelmia.

Works well after updating Connect for Lemmy. Just had to log in again. It had a recent update to support the new version of Lemmy.

Yes. 2FA has been apparently reworked for Lemmy and therefore it’s reset for all users, as can be read from the devs’ announcement.
Got a bug - uploading an image from Jerboa results in
incorrect_login
errorIt seems sessions got invalidated during the upgrade, had to log in again everywhere for things to work correctly. In Thunder and Photon, that required manually deleting the account and re-adding it.
Sounds like a problem with Jerboa. Try logging again. I uploaded this image through a desktop browser and it was all OK. I also had not to select any language to this post that it could be posted.
Yes you’re right, it’s a Jerboa problem. Switching to another app (Voyager) it works fine.
I just made an account here a couple of days ago and today I was poking around the instance when I decided to check how communicative the instance admin was and bam I saw this post.

Jerboa started complaining about my account being incomplete or something. And then crashing after I logged out Now I can’t login with Jerboa at all. I hope they fix it soon.
Expect the upgrade to take a bit, for us on nvme disks it took almost 20 mins for the db alters.
So far the only consequence seems to be that I was logged out from all sessions - in browser and app.
